MIKMA (Malayalee Association of Milton Keynes) is a community association based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. We organise cultural events for the local Malayalee community.

When you book tickets through our website, we collect:

• Your full name and email address
• Phone number and postcode (optional, if you choose to provide them)
• Ticket type and quantity
• Payment confirmation details (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your card details)

When you attend an event, we may also capture photographs and video footage for community and promotional use. You are asked to consent to this during the booking process.

How we use your data

We use your information to:

• Send your ticket confirmation and QR code
• Manage event entry and check-in on the day
• Contact you about changes or cancellations to an event you have booked
• Comply with our legal and financial record-keeping obligations

We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties outside of what is necessary to run the event.

Third-party services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the site:

• Stripe — secure payment processing. Your payment details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us.
• Supabase — our secure database where booking records are stored.
• Resend — the email delivery service used to send your confirmation email.

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policy and complies with UK/EU data protection law.

How long we keep your data

We retain booking records for up to 2 years after the event date for financial and administrative purposes. After that period, personal data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (where no legal obligation requires us to keep it)
• Object to how we process your data
